Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Tracefield, a hosted service that extracts fields from documents you upload and records the evidence for each extracted value. By creating a workspace you agree to them.
1. The service
Tracefield reads documents you send it and returns values, each either traced to a region of the page it came from or flagged as unverified. Verification is a property of the evidence, not a guarantee of correctness: a value marked verified was found in the document's own text, which is a different claim from “this number is right for your purposes”.
You remain responsible for the decisions you take on the output. The review queue exists because some values cannot be proved, and the service is designed on the assumption that a person settles those.
2. Your account
You are responsible for activity under your workspace, including API keys you create. Keys are shown once and can be revoked at any time from Settings. Tell us promptly if you believe a key or password has been exposed.
You must not use the service to process documents you have no right to process, to attempt to reach another workspace's data, or to probe the service for vulnerabilities without written agreement.
3. Your documents and your data
Documents you upload remain yours. We process them to provide the service and for no other purpose: they are not used to train models and are not shared with other customers. Extraction is performed by a third-party model provider under contract; see the privacy notice for who processes what.
You can delete a document at any time. Deleting removes the stored file and its extracted values; entries in the credit ledger remain, because they record spend rather than content.
4. Plans, credits and payment
Paid plans are sold and invoiced by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record and as reseller of this service. Your contract for payment is with Paddle; Paddle handles billing, tax and receipts.
One document processed costs one credit. Included credits reset at the start of each billing period. If an extraction fails and produces no result, its credit is returned automatically.
5. Availability
The service is provided as it stands, without an uptime commitment unless we have agreed one with you in writing. We will give reasonable notice of planned interruptions where we can.
6. Ending the agreement
You can cancel a subscription at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, after which the workspace reverts to the free allowance rather than closing. You can export your verified data at any time while the workspace is open.
We may suspend a workspace that is being used to attack the service or others, and will explain why when we do.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from a business decision taken on extracted data.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the product before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
